Kathy is
responsible for selecting books, journals and electronic resources;
providing in-depth research assistance and library instruction; and
acting as the advocate within the Library for the following:

library-related question or concerns.
Library Instruction - request general orientation, course-related
instruction, and focused research training. Group and individual
training sessions are available by appointment. For group sessions,
please contact the liaison at least 2 weeks in advance.
Research
Assistance - request help in selecting appropriate resources,
performing database searches, or locating relevant materials at
other institutions.
Citation
Assistance - request help in verifying citations for publications,
bibliographies, or Interlibrary Loan orders.
Kathy
was graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1975 with a
Bachelor of Music degree, magna cum laude. As a professional flutist,
she performed and taught for over twenty-five years in Southern New
England and was also co-director for ten years of the Hop River Chamber
Music Series with her husband, Tom, a clarinetist on the US Coast
Guard Band. In 1999, Kathy earned her MLS from Syracuse University through the distance learning program.
Since that time, the use of technology in education and information
delivery has been the focus of her research.
